An annual drama festival is held in March in Appin Hall. The festival brings together performances from North Lorn youth and adult amateur theatre groups. The long-running festival is well supported by the communities of Appin, Benderloch, North Connel and Taynuilt.
In 2018, The Oban Times reported adjudicator Paul Dougall saying "The standard of acting throughout the primary and youth sections was excellent and at least on a par with anything I have seen at other festivals." Source: The Oban Times, 5 April 2018.
2019 sees the 65th North Lorn Drama Festival taking place from 20-22 March in Appin Hall at 7pm. Season tickets for all three nights or single tickets are available by emailing nlorn.drama@aol.co.uk
