A public consultation is being held on the draft updated Sectoral Marine Plan for Offshore Wind Energy and associated assessment reports, to seek views on the identified social, economic and environmental opportunities and risks of Plan implementation.
The 12-week consultation runs from 30 May to 22 August 2025, Through this consultation, you have a voice in shaping the final plan to inform future decision making and ensure the sustainable development of offshore wind in Scottish waters.
Have your say on proposals to grow Scotland’s offshore wind sector, while balancing the needs of other users of the sea, communities and nature.

Islay – 1 July2025 – Islay Gaelic Centre/ Ionad Chaluim Chille Ille, Gartnatra, Isle ofIslay, PA43 7LN
Oban – 7 July2025 – Corran Halls, 53 Corran Esplanade, Oban, PA34 5AB
Colonsay – 8July 2025 – Colonsay Village Hall, Isle of Colonsay, Scalasaig, PA61 7YW
Events will run from 12:00 – 21:00. Members of the public are invited to drop-in and receive support with completion of consultation responses or ask questions related to the consultation between 12:00 - 18:00. A formal presentation of findings will start at 18:00, followed by a question-and-answer session afterwards.
