Dalnashean Virtual Garden Visit
We had hoped to open our garden at Port Appin under Scotland's Garden Scheme on the 16th and 17th May but this has proved to be impossible due the global pandemic.
Charities are having a great deal of difficulty with the current situation and we felt that we should try to find some way of continuing to support them. We have therefore created a virtual tour of our garden, Dalnashean at Port Appin. You can take the virtual tour by visiting the Scotland Garden's Scheme website which can be accessed by clicking here.
If you would like to make a donation this can do done through the Scotland Garden Scheme website. The Scotland Gardens Scheme charities are Queen's Nursing Institute for Scotland, Maggies and Perenial.
When we opened that garden in 2018 we were able to raise more than £1000 through the sale of craft items made by Allister mostly using wood from trees that had fallen in the garden. We have created a virtual shop where you can purchase items made in the past year. You can access Allister's shop here. All items include free delivery by Royal Mail. All of the funds raised through the sale of these items will be donated to Appin Aid.
Appin Aid provides essential voluntary support to residents of the Appin area during the Covid-19 emergency. You can find out more about Appin Aid by clicking here.
Please feel free to pass on this message to other friends and colleagues.
We hope that you enjoy your virtual visit to Dalnashean and we look forward to being able to welcome you in person soon.
Stay well and keep safe.
Kathleen and Allister Ferguson
