Letter received at Appin Community Council
Dear Mr Mackie
I am writing to confirm that Argyll and Bute Council have now validated
our planning application to relocate and expand our salmon farm at the
north end of Shuna Island. The planning reference number for the
application is 21/00268/MFF and the application can be viewed on the
Council planning portal at
https://publicaccess.argyll-bute.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QO98DFCH0GD00&activeTab=summary

Normally we would look to have held a community drop in event in Appin
at this point but due to Covid restrictions we have instead set up a
'Development webpage' on the Scottish Sea Farms website to help direct
people to the application on the Council website and highlight some of
the key information on the proposal and how to contact SSF for further
information. The link for this page is -
https://www.scottishseafarms.com/about/new-developments/. We will be
adding new information on frequently raised questions on these pages in
the next few days.
I would be more than happy to attend your next Community Council meeting
if this was of interest to the Community Council and also to provide
further information or answer any questions. I can be contacted by
phone or email at any time.
Kind regards
Mark
